How Do You Unbold a Figma?

Figma is a popular online design platform that allows users to create, collaborate, and publish powerful designs. It has become increasingly popular among UI/UX designers, web developers, and other professionals who need a tool to quickly prototype and design complex projects.

Figma also offers users the flexibility to bold text within their designs. This can be useful for emphasis or for highlighting key elements within the design. However, if you no longer want the text to be bolded, there are several ways to unbold it.

The simplest way is to simply select the text that you want to unbold and click on the “Bold” icon in the toolbar at the top of the page. This will remove any bold formatting from that selection of text. If you have multiple selections of text that need unbolding, you can use the “Select All” command (Ctrl+A) and then click on “Bold” in the toolbar.

In addition to using the Bold icon in the toolbar, you can also unbold text by applying a different font style from within Figma’s font selection menu. This menu can be accessed by either clicking on a font selection box or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F on Windows or Cmd+Shift+F on MacOS. Once inside this menu, simply select any font style that is not bolded and then apply it to your selection of text.

Another way to unbold text is by using Figma’s Text Properties panel which can be accessed by selecting any piece of text in your design and then selecting “Text Properties” from the right-hand side panel in Figma’s interface. Within this panel, there is an option for “Font Weight” where you can choose from light (100), regular (400), medium (500), semi-bold (600), bold (700) or extra-bold (800). Simply select any weight other than “Bold” (700) and it will automatically unbold your selected piece of text.

Finally, if you know how to work with code within Figma, you can use CSS styling rules such as “font-weight: normal;” or “font-weight: 400;” in order to unbold your selected pieces of text as well as change their font weights further if needed.

In conclusion, there are several ways to unbold a Figma – either by using its Bold icon in its toolbar or Font selection menu; applying different fonts styles; or using code such as CSS styling rules – depending on what works best for your project needs.
