Adding items to a list in Webflow is a simple and straightforward process. Whether you want to create a list of products, blog posts, or any other type of content, Webflow provides an easy way to add and manage items.
To get started, you need to have a collection set up in your project. A collection is like a database that stores all the items you want to display in your list. Once you have your collection set up, follow these steps to add items:
Step 1: Log in to your Webflow account and open your project.
Step 2: In the Designer view, click on the “CMS” tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
Step 3: Click on “Collections” at the top of the CMS panel.
Step 4: Select the collection you want to add items to or create a new collection by clicking on the “+” button.
Step 5: In the Collection Editor, click on “Add new” to create a new item.
Once you’ve created a new item, you can start adding content to it. Each item in your collection will have different fields depending on how you’ve set up your collection. To add content to these fields:
Add Text Content:
- Step 1: Click on a text field within your item.

Add Images:

Add Links:
- Step 1: Click on a link field within your item.

Now that you have your items added, it’s time to display them in a list on your website. To do this:
Step 1: Go back to the Designer view by clicking on the “Designer” tab.
Step 2: Drag and drop a Collection List element from the Add Panel onto your page where you want the list to appear.
Step 3: In the Collection List settings panel on the right-hand side of the screen, select the collection you want to display.
Step 4: Customize the design of your list using Webflow’s styling tools. You can adjust fonts, colors, spacing, and more.
