Step 1: Open the Model
First, open the AutoCAD software and load the model you want to bring to the layout. You can do this by either clicking on “Open” in the File menu or by using the Ctrl+O shortcut.
Step 2: Switch to Layout

- To adjust viewport properties:

Step 6: Bring Model to Layout
Finally, it’s time to bring your model into the layout using the created viewport. This will display a scaled version of your design within the layout for printing or presentation purposes.
- To bring a model to layout:
- In your layout tab, click inside the created viewport to activate it.
- Type “MSPACE” in the command line and hit Enter. This will switch you back to model space temporarily.
- Select all or specific elements from your model that you want to bring into the layout.
You can use window selection or individual selection methods.
- Type “PSPACE” in the command line and hit Enter. This will switch you back to paper space with your selected model elements.
- Adjust the position and size of the model within the viewport as needed.
