How Add IEC Library to AutoCAD Electrical?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to add the IEC library to AutoCAD Electrical. The IEC library is a collection of electrical symbols that adhere to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards.

Step 1: Accessing the Tool Palette

To add the IEC library, we need to access the Tool Palette in AutoCAD Electrical. The Tool Palette is a window that contains various tool palettes, including the one for adding libraries.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click on the “View” tab in the menu bar.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select “Tool Palettes”.
  3. The Tool Palette window will appear on your screen.

Step 2: Adding the IEC Library

Now that we have accessed the Tool Palette, let’s proceed with adding the IEC library.

Here’s how:

  1. In the Tool Palette window, right-click on any existing palette or an empty space.
  2. A context menu will appear. Select “New Palette” from the menu.
  3. A new palette will be created.
