Step 1: Accessing the Workspace Settings
First, let’s navigate to the workspace settings. To do this, go to the top menu bar and click on the Manage tab. Then, select Customize User Interface.
Step 2: Selecting a Workspace
In the Customize User Interface window, locate and click on the Workspaces tab. Here, you will find a list of available workspaces.
If your current workspace is not set to “AutoCAD Classic” or a similar option that includes the Home tab, proceed to Step 3. Otherwise, skip to Step 4.

Step 4: Adding the Home Tab
In the Customize Workspace window, select the Ribbon tab and click on the Home option from the left panel.
Next, on the right panel, find and select the New Tab option. Click on the Add. button to add a new tab to your workspace.
Step 5: Customizing the New Tab
The newly added tab will appear in the right panel of the Customize Workspace window. Select it and click on Rename. to give it a descriptive name, such as “Home”. Press Enter to save the new name.
To populate your Home tab with commands, go to the left panel of the Customize Workspace window and find All Commands. Here, you can browse through various commands available in AutoCAD.
To add a command to your Home tab, simply drag it from the All Commands list and drop it onto your newly created Home tab in the right panel. Repeat this step for all desired commands.
Step 6: Applying Changes and Verifying
Once you have added all desired commands to your Home tab, click on Apply, followed by OK.
You should now see your restored Home tab in AutoCAD’s workspace. Take a moment to verify that all necessary commands are available and easily accessible.
