To reveal hidden items in SolidWorks, you need to access the Hide/Show Items tool. You can find this tool in the main toolbar at the top of the SolidWorks window.

Here’s how to access the Hide/Show Items tool:

  • Click on the “View” tab in the main toolbar.
  • In the “Hide/Show” section, click on the “Hide/Show Items” icon.

Step 2: Select Hidden Components

Once you have opened the Hide/Show Items tool, a dialog box will appear with a list of all components in your SolidWorks project. In this list, hidden components are displayed with a checkmark next to their names.

Follow these steps to select hidden components:

  1. Scroll through the list and locate the hidden component(s) that you want to display.
  2. Click on the checkbox next to each hidden component’s name to select it for display.

Tips:

  • If you want to display all hidden components at once, simply click on the “Select All” button located at the bottom of the dialog box. This will automatically select all hidden components for display.
  • If you only want to display specific types of hidden components, you can use the “Filter” option at the top of the dialog box. Click on the dropdown menu and choose the desired component type(s) to filter the list accordingly.

Step 3: Show Selected Components

After selecting the hidden components that you want to display, click on the “Show” button at the bottom of the Hide/Show Items dialog box. The selected components will now be shown in your SolidWorks workspace.

Additional Information:

  • If you accidentally select a component that you didn’t want to display, simply go back to the Hide/Show Items tool and uncheck its checkbox. This will hide the component again.
  • If you want to hide a displayed component, you can also use the Hide/Show Items tool. Uncheck its checkbox in the dialog box, and it will be hidden from view.
