SketchUp Online is a powerful 3D modeling tool that allows you to create stunning designs and architectural plans. Sometimes, while working on a project, you may accidentally hide certain elements or objects in your SketchUp model.
But don’t worry! In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of unhiding hidden elements in SketchUp Online.
Step 1: Select the Hidden Geometry
If you suspect that there are hidden elements in your SketchUp model, the first step is to select the entire model by clicking once on any part of it. This will highlight all the visible and hidden geometry within your design.
Step 2: Open the Entity Info Window
After selecting your model, navigate to the “Window” menu at the top of the SketchUp Online interface. From there, select “Entity Info” to open the Entity Info window.
Step 3: Locate Hidden Geometry
In the Entity Info window, you will find a list of all the selected entities in your model. Look for any elements or objects that have their visibility status set to “Hidden”. These are the elements that are currently not visible in your design.
Step 4: Unhide Hidden Geometry
To unhide a specific element or object, simply click on its visibility status icon located next to its name in the Entity Info window. This will toggle its visibility from hidden to visible.
Note:
- If you want to unhide multiple elements or objects at once, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking on their visibility status icons.
- If there are nested groups or components with hidden geometry inside them, make sure to expand those groups or components before unhiding the hidden geometry.
Step 5: Verify Unhidden Geometry
After unhiding the desired elements or objects, take a moment to verify that they are now visible in your SketchUp model. You can pan, zoom, and orbit around your design to ensure that everything looks as expected.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with the visibility of your model’s geometry, don’t forget to save your changes. Click on the “File” menu and select “Save” or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S (or Command + S on Mac) to save your updated SketchUp Online file.
