Are you struggling with adding bend notes in SolidWorks? Worry not, because we have got you covered!
In this tutorial, we will walk you through the step-by-step process of adding bend notes to your SolidWorks drawings. So let’s dive right in!
Step 1: Open Your Drawing
To begin, open the drawing file in SolidWorks where you want to add the bend notes. Make sure that the sheet you are working on is active.
Step 2: Go to Annotations
In the Command Manager at the top of your screen, locate and click on the Annotations tab. This will open up a dropdown menu with various annotation options.
Step 3: Select Bend Notes
In the Annotations dropdown menu, find and click on Bend Notes. This will activate the bend note tool for you to use.
Step 4: Place Bend Note Callout
The next step is to place a bend note callout on your drawing. To do this, simply click on the location where you want to add the bend note. A callout box will appear at that point.
Note:
Bend notes are typically added near the bends or corners of a part in order to specify important information about its fabrication process.
Step 5: Customize Bend Note Properties
You can customize various properties of your bend note according to your requirements. Right-click on the placed bend note callout and select Edit Feature... This will open up a dialog box with different options for customization.
- To change the text, font size, or style of your bend note, navigate to the Text Format tab in the dialog box and make the desired changes.
- If you want to modify the arrow or leader line properties, switch to the Leader Format tab and adjust the settings accordingly.
- You can also add additional text or symbols to your bend note by typing directly into the callout box after placing it on your drawing.
Step 6: Repeat for Multiple Bend Notes
If you have multiple bends on your part and need to add multiple bend notes, simply repeat steps 4 and 5 for each individual bend. This will allow you to specify the necessary information for each bend separately.
Note:
In case you need to delete a bend note, simply select it and press the ‘Delete’ key on your keyboard.
Step 7: Save Your Drawing
Once you have added all the required bend notes and made necessary customizations, don’t forget to save your drawing file. This will ensure that all your changes are preserved for future reference.
