Canva is an extremely versatile and user-friendly design platform that can be used to create beautiful, eye-catching designs for any purpose. Whether you are creating a brochure, presentation, social media post or even a logo, Canva allows you to easily add graphics and images to your projects. Adding graphics to Canva is as easy as dragging and dropping the image into your design.
When you open up Canva and begin a new project, there are two main ways to add graphics to your canvas: by using the image library or by uploading an image from your own computer.
The image library contains over one million stock images from various sources that can easily be added to any project. All images in the library are free for use in commercial projects as well. To search for an image in the library, simply type in a keyword in the search bar at the top of the page.
Uploading Images
If you already have an image saved on your computer that you would like to use, you can easily upload it into Canva. To do this, click on the “Uploads” tab located on the left side of the page. Once clicked, click “Upload an Image” and select which file you wish to upload from your computer or Google Drive.
Editing Images
Once you have uploaded or selected an image from the library, it can be edited in several different ways. You can crop it by using dragging points around its edges with your mouse until it is cropped to size. You can also adjust its brightness and contrast levels using simple sliders located below each photo.
Saving Images
Once finished editing an image within Canva, it will need to be saved in order for it to remain part of your project. To save an image within Canva, click on “Save” at the top right corner of the page and select which format you would like your file saved as (JPG or PNG). The file will then be saved directly into your project folder.
Adding Text
In addition to adding graphics, Canva also allows users to easily add text boxes anywhere on their canvas with just a few clicks of their mouse. To do this, click on “Text” at the top left corner of the page and select which type of text box you would like (title, body text etc.). Once created, simply click inside of it and begin typing away.
