How Do I Add Sound to Canva?

Adding sound to Canva can be a great way to enhance your designs and make them stand out. Sound can be used for a variety of purposes, from adding background music to creating sound effects for visual elements. There are several ways to add sound to Canva, depending on your needs and the type of media you’re working with.

Using Audio Clips

Canva has an extensive library of audio clips that you can use in your designs. To access these audio clips, simply open the “Canva Music” tab in the left sidebar menu.

Here you’ll find a variety of genres and styles of music, as well as some sound effects. Once you’ve chosen an audio clip that you like, simply drag and drop it into your design. You can then adjust the volume and length of the clip using the controls in the audio panel on the right-hand side.

Adding Your Own Audio Files

If you have your own audio files that you want to use in Canva, this is also possible. All you need to do is upload them into Canva using the “Uploads” tab in the left sidebar menu.

Once uploaded, these files will be available for use in all of your designs. You can then drag and drop them into place and adjust their settings using the audio panel on the right-hand side.

Using YouTube Audio

If you want to use a song or other sound from YouTube in your Canva design, this is also possible with a few extra steps. First, open up a new browser window and search for the YouTube video that contains your desired sound effect or song. Once you’ve found it, copy its URL from the address bar at the top of the page and paste it into Canva’s “YouTube Search” bar at the bottom of its left sidebar menu.

This will bring up a list of results based on your search query; choose one that matches what you were looking for and click on it to add it to your design canvas. You can then adjust its settings using the audio panel on the right-hand side just like any other audio file.

Adding sound to Canva is easy: either choose from one of their many available audio clips or upload one from elsewhere with their uploads tool or even search YouTube within their app! With all these options at hand, there’s no reason not to make use of this great feature!
